Oshtemo Charter Township seeks a part-time Administrative Assistant, to provide customer service and support functions for Oshtemo Township. This position is part-time, 6 hrs. per day, Monday through Thursday, 8AM - 2PM each day. This assignment is as Administrative Assistant working for both the Township Clerk and Township Treasurer. The person qualifying for this position must possess the ability to multi-task and to handle multiple daily responsibilities.

These include performing a variety of customer service and clerical duties including:

• Greeting and assisting Township citizens arriving at the Front Counter to enact business,
• Answering & placing calls, scheduling appointments and handling specific township business and knowing when to refer it to a Township staff employee
• Excellent skills using Microsoft word processing / spreadsheet programs
• Drafting various documents including memos, notices, and time reports, etal.

• A versatile, flexible, self-motivated individual, with experience in office administration
• Expertise / experience in accounting duties a plus
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Suite), BS&A experience a plus
• Ability to manage Township Website operations / additions a plus

• Must be able to meet prescribed typing and computer standards in effect at the time of hire
• Strong interpersonal communications skills, both oral and written
• Excellent customer service skills, both with external and internal customers

EDUCATION: High School graduate is minimum for consideration
